Paper claims should carry machine-checkable status. We model claims, runs, and citations as a typed graph in which claim status (open / supported / refuted) is derived from linked evidence rather than asserted, and show reviewers locate unsupported claims 4× faster.
The Telephone Effect: Citation Drift in Multi-hop Summarization
When claims are propagated through chains of summarization, the final citation often no longer supports the original statement. We quantify this drift across chain lengths and show span-anchored re-verification at each hop eliminates most of it.
Span-Anchored Citations for Verifiable Research Writing
Citations that point at papers are unverifiable in practice: the reader cannot find the sentence that supports the claim. We anchor every citation to the exact quoted source span (W3C TextQuoteSelector), verify that the span supports the claim, and emit self-verifying LaTeX citations. The anchor is the quoted text itself, so citations survive re-indexing and new document versions.
